Get to Know Our Growing Team...

Ryan Kennedy | Intern

Ryan Kennedy is entering his senior year at Westminster High School in Atlanta, Georgia and worked at Intent Solutions this summer. As he prepares to return to high school we thought it would interesting to interview him about his experience and share his comments with our network.

So, Ryan you live in Atlanta…is that right?
Yes, I live in ATL with my parents, Lisa and Dan, my two sisters, Erin and Lauren and my black lab, Maggie.

Is this the first time you have worked in an office?

What is like to have your first office job?
It’s a lot more of mental work than physical. Most of my friends worked at jobs like summer camp. I wanted to get real world, office experience. I have done a variety of things, on the computer, and QA testing devices.

How did you find out about Intent Solutions?
I went to the ATDC website, I knew that this is where dynamic startups would be located, and I hoped to get a job with a cool company. I wrote my resume and sent an email. I was happy when somebody wrote back, most places did not even bother to respond. I wanted to show initiative.

Tell me about your job responsibilities
I have managed the contact list, cleaned it up, cleaned up Google drive, sorted document notes, and QA tested devices and learned how to use a caliper.

What’s your favorite part about working in an office?
I get to test TAD, that’s pretty fun. I like to see how things work, get hands on experience, plus I don’t have to be outside.

Has working at Intent Solutions effected your goals?
It’s different than I thought it would be. It shows me that working in the tech field would be interesting, something that I would like to do when I graduate. I think I want to be a computer science major.

What college would you like to go to?
Georgia Tech.

Anything else you would like to share?
Yes, even if you are in high school and you see a company that is interesting you should reach out.  What have you got to lose?
