Sam Zamarripa, MPA | Chief Executive Officer & Director
As Chief Executive Officer of Intent Solutions, Mr. Zamarripa's primary focus is the market and capital strategy for the company. He is an avid reader of technology and data trends that impact the company’s key markets, as well as a follower of industry thought leaders and entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Intent Solutions, Mr. Zamarripa was the Founder and President of Zamarripa Capital Incorporated, a private equity corporation, founded in 2008, that focused on lower middle-market companies, primarily in the Southeastern United States. In 2007, Mr. Zamarripa was appointed as a Senior Advisor to Darby Private Equity, the private equity arm of Franklin Templeton Investments. Prior to this, Mr. Zamarripa served two terms, from 2002 to 2006, in the State Senate of Georgia representing the City of Atlanta, where he served as the Secretary of the State Economic Development Committee and member of the committees on Insurance, Science & Technology and Transportation. He retired from the State Senate undefeated in 2006.
Concurrent with his civic position, from 2002 to 2006 Mr. Zamarripa was a Partner and Managing Director at Heritage Capital Advisors. In 1998, Mr. Zamarripa co-founded United Americas Bank, NA of Atlanta where he served as Board Member until 2009. He is currently a Director at Assurance America Corporation of Atlanta, Georgia where he has served since 2005. Mr. Zamarripa is a Trustee of the Annie E. Casey Foundation of Baltimore, Maryland and a lifetime Trustee of Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
He holds a BA from New College of Sarasota, Florida, and a Masters of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
Ashley B. Hancock, MBA | Chief Financial Officer, Founder & Director
As Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Intent Solutions, Mr. Hancock primarily focuses on fundraising, capital management, corporate strategy, and business operations. He actively follows updates and innovations in the medical device industry.
Prior to co-founding Intent Solutions, Mr. Hancock was the Founder and CEO of Innovetica, LLC, a boutique technology incubation firm, founded in 2009, that assists physician inventors and early stage medical technology and device companies in navigating the complex path through strategic planning, new product development, and commercialization. From 2011-2013, Mr. Hancock served as Executive Director of the Southeastern Medical Device Association (SEMDA), a non-profit industry association promoting growth in the medical device industry across the region. Before Innovetica, from 2009 to 2010, Mr. Hancock managed the medical device portfolio for EndoChoice, an Atlanta-based venture-funded startup. Beginning in 2006 he held marketing leadership positions of increasing responsibility with C.R. Bard, where he was accountable for an extensive surgical implant portfolio. During his more than 27 years of professional experience, Mr. Hancock has held various leadership positions with BP Amoco Chemical Company, with oversight for engineering, manufacturing, operations planning, and supply chain optimization.
Mr. Hancock holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
Ward Broom | Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of Intent Solutions, Mr. Broom is responsible for developing and maintaining systems associated with product development, quality management, customer fulfillment, implementation, customer support, and general operational requirements.
Mr. Broom joined Intent Solutions after a successful exit from a healthcare technology firm he co-founded in 1995, Innovative Product Achievements. As IPA co-founder, he served as executive VP and COO and was an integral part of taking the company from product concept to market leader. IPA provides an integrated hardware/software dispensing and retrieval system for hospital scrub suits and linens. These products resolve a significant pain point in hospital operations and are currently installed in over 900 hospitals across the US and internationally. After acquisition by private equity in 2008, IPA was sold to a Fortune 500 Company (Roper Technologies) in 2014. Mr. Broom stayed on as VP of Product Management and International Business Development and as a strategic advisor until his exit in March 2017.
Prior to IPA, Mr. Broom became co-owner and president of Design and Manufacturing Services (DMSI), an electro-mechanical product development and contract manufacturing firm. DMSI’s customers included numerous high-tech and medical device startup companies. The idea for IPA was hatched out of DMSI. In his early business career at Scientific-Atlanta, Mr. Broom focused on updating existing product designs for manufacturing efficiency and the design and manufacture of RADAR Cross Section (stealth technology) positioning and test equipment.
Mr. Broom holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees (with an emphasis in computer integrated manufacturing) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently completing his MBA degree from Georgia Tech with an expected graduation date of December 2017. He also holds multiple technology patents and is actively involved as a mentor at Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center, where he provides guidance for early stage startups.
Wendy Collins | Director of Business Operations
As Director of Business Operations of Intent Solutions, Ms. Collins' primarily focuses on human resources, finance and accounting, as well as establishing company policies. As an experienced administrator, Ms. Collins manages Intent Solutions’ efficiency and initiates changes as necessary.
Wendy Collins is business administrator and certified HR professional most recently with General Cable Corporation from 2003-2015, a global manufacturing company. Ms. Collins has had invaluable experiences working numerous years within diverse industries: technology, business services, nonprofit organizations and manufacturing (AT&T, Alcan Cable, Alzheimer’s Association, Cendant Mobility).
Ms. Collins serves as Vice Chair and longstanding board member of D.C. Express Track Club established for youth development in 1984. She is also a USA Track & Field official, USATF Georgia member and serves as Treasurer of Dial Heights Civic Association.
Ms. Collins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems from Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts.
Tyler McCrary | Operations
As the Operations Manager of Intent Solutions, Mr. McCrary’s primary focus is managing inventory allocation and testing devices to ensure product quality & performance. He is the internal product expert on quality assurance & regulatory, development, and technology operations.
Mr. McCrary has a background in engineering and brings along knowledge of technology and product testing. From 2013 to 2014, Mr. McCrary held an engineering co-op with Kimberly-Clark, where he served three separate rotations. His projects and experience included, working with polymer non-woven materials, product development targeted at the aviation industry, and the safety of manufacturing facility machinery.
Mr. McCrary stays involved with the Atlanta community, specifically with Trees Atlanta by planting trees around the city.
Mr. McCrary earned his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
